It is one of 10 town hall meetings the MSCI plans for the United States this year. MSCI chapters have held 16 town hall meetings on manufacturing since late 2003.
All members of the Missouri and Kansas congressional delegation have been invited, along with several local political representatives. The meeting is open to the public. Founded in 1907, the Metals Service Center Institute has more than 370 members operating from about 1,200 locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and elsewhere around the world. Together, MSCI members constitute the largest single group of metals purchasers in North America, amounting each year to more than 65 million tons of steel, aluminum and other metals, with about 300,000 manufacturers and fabricators as customers. Metals service centers distribute metals and provide first-stage fabrication services.
The NTMA is the only national representative of the custom precision manufacturing industry in the United States. It is a provider of resources for information, education, training and associative services for its members.
